Educar, dar las herramienta y ayudar en la prevención del  “Body Dismorphya” es el Objetivo que tiene José, para difundirlo mundialmente a través de la Organización de MGW.

 

 

José López, es el mayor de 3 hermanos, criado por su madre, de cuna humilde, en un residencial público del país. En su desarrollo sufrió de obesidad infantil, bulimia, problemas de habla, acoso escolar y situaciones que lo llevaron en múltiples ocasiones a intentar privarse de la vida.

​

A los 16 años es aceptado en el programa “Upward Bound” para jóvenes talentosos con el fin de adelantar cursos universitarios. Ganador a nivel nacional de la Medalla de Oro en Historia.

​

El año 2008 marco su vida de muchas maneras. Su madre fallece en un accidente de auto tras quedarse dormida al volante, ya que tenía 2 trabajos para darles a sus hijos lo mejor y que no les faltara nada. A partir de esto se convierte en el encargado de sus hermanos.

​

En honor a la memoria de su progenitora, ya que amaba ver a su hijo en ese ámbito, obtiene el título de Mr. Puerto Rico Verano 2008, oportunidad que lo llevo a representar a nuestra isla internacionalmente en Mr. Teen Mundial 2008 donde también resultó ganador.

​

En el año 2013 inicia su carrera como modelo profesional en Puerto Rico teniendo así la oportunidad de participar en diversos eventos como modelo internacional.

 

En el 2014 se convierte en Mr. Universo Puerto Rico, representando a nuestra isla internacionalmente alcanzando el top 3 en la competencia.

​

En el 2015 obtiene el título de Mr. Puerto Rico Global. José López tuvo una carrera nacional e internacional, Modelando para Fashion en Dubái, New York, Republica Dominicana, Tailandia entre otros. López Fue portadas de varias revistas de renombre.

​

En el año 2016 decide retirarse de la industria luego de varios años exitoso en la industria. José López, deseaba ser feliz, deseaba aceptar su verdadera identidad de género, que tuvo que ser reprimida para alcanzar su meta del modelaje. 

 

Tenía mucho miedo al rechazo, pero su amor propio le dio valor a romper con los estigmas.

A partir de esto comenzó a fomentar lo que es un estilo de vida saludable, ayudar a personas con problemas de depresión, dando charlas y talleres. Así nace su proyecto “Déjame ayudarte…. Body Dismorphia - LGBTTQ+”.

​

Su deseo siempre ha sido ser de inspiración para otros, ser potente voz para aquellos que creen estar solos. Su mayor propósito ha sido llevar su mensaje al mundo entero, conectar con todas las comunidades del mundo.

​

José López, se convirtió en el primer modelo y ex míster, en romper los estereotipos y lanzarse a competir en un certamen de la comunidad LGBTQIA Plus, Mister Gay Puerto Rico, resultando electo.

​

López, demostró que no hay límites y fue portavoz de que se puede cumplir sus sueños siendo uno mismo, vivir sin miedos.  José López represento a Puerto Rico en el certamen más importante de la comunidad LGBTQIA plus "Mister Gay World 2022", en South África.

​

José López, se convirtió en el primer Puertorriqueño en ganar dicho certamen. Ahora a través de esta plataforma quiere impactar al mundo entero. José López siempre ha tenido una frase  (Nací para ayudar a otros y ese siempre será mi propósito)

 

1. ¿Que significa para ti ser el primer Mr. Gay Word?

Ser el primer Mr. Gay World es  un gran orgullo, pero mi satisfacción mayor es usar la plataforma para llevar un mensaje poderoso, no solo en mi isla del encanto si no a nivel mundial. Educar, dar las herramienta y ayudar en la prevención en “Body dismorphya” es mi mayor objetivo.

 

El titulo de Mr. Gay World me permitirá llegar a lugares con más necesidades, no solo en nuestra comunidad si no en todas las comunidades y ese sería mi enfoque 

​

2. Al ver que tus anteriores Mr. Gay World P.R., estuvieron bien cerca de obtener el título,sentiste  alguna presión.

 

Definitivamente saber que PR en las últimas 2 ediciones quedo a pelos de ganar significo mucha presión. Pero la presión la transforme en energías para demostrar que no hay limitación ni nada que nos pueda detener. 

 

3. ¿Cómo te preparas mentalmente y físicamente para cumplir con todas las tareas que debes cumplir diariamente?

 

Admito que no es fácil, pero tengo un lema "Si no hay tiempo haz tiempo". Todo se trata de ser organizado y estructurado. Soy una persona con una inteligencia emocional fuerte y me ayuda a enfrentar los retos que se  me puedan presentar.

 

Actualmente soy Gerente General de "World Fitness Center" , el cual me ayuda mucho en la preparación física y lo más importante me ayuda a transformar vidas.

 

4. ¿Qué represento el traje típico  en el certamen?

Mi traje Típico fue inspirado en el guardia dé las costas. 

 

 

5. ¿Con que pensamiento te gustaría que el jurado te recordara siempre?

Mi mensaje siempre ha sido que no nos limitemos. Fui obeso en mi adolescencia y con problemas del habla. Con toda y adversidad he cumplido todos mis sueños, logre lo que decían que era imposible.

 

6¿Mensaje a la comunidad?

Invito a que nunca nos rindamos y luchemos por nuestros derechos, sobre todo por nuestra felicidad. Que nos amemos tal y como somos, saben por qué? Porque somos perfectos y únicos.

Educating, giving the tools and helping in the prevention of "Body Dismorphia" is the objective that José has, to spread it worldwide through the MGW Organization.

 

 

José López, is the eldest of 3 siblings, raised by his mother, from a humble birth, in a public residence in the country. During his development he suffered from childhood obesity, bulimia, speech problems, bullying and situations that led him on multiple occasions to try to deprive himself of life. ​

 

At the age of 16, he is accepted into the "Upward Bound" program for talented young people in order to advance university courses. National winner of the Gold Medal in History. ​

 

The year 2008 marked his life in many ways. His mother dies in a car accident after falling asleep at the wheel, since she had 2 jobs to give her children the best and that they did not lack anything. From this he becomes in charge of his brothers. In honor of the memory of his mother, since she loved seeing her son in that field, he obtained the title of Mr. Puerto Rico

 

Summer 2008, an opportunity that led him to represent our island internationally in Mr. Teen World 2008 where he was also winner. ​

 

In 2013, she began her career as a professional model in Puerto Rico, thus having the opportunity to participate in various events as an international model. In 2014 he became Mr. Universe Puerto Rico, representing our island internationally reaching the top 3 in the competition.

​

In 2015 he obtained the title of Mr. Puerto Rico Global. José López had a national and international career, modeling for Fashion in Dubai, New York, the Dominican Republic, Thailand among others. López It was covers of several renowned magazines. ​ In 2016 he decided to retire from the industry after several successful years in the industry.

 

José López wanted to be happy, he wanted to accept his true gender identity, which had to be repressed to achieve his goal of modeling. He was very afraid of rejection, but her self-esteem gave her the courage to break the stigmas. From this he began to promote what a healthy lifestyle is, help people with depression problems, giving talks and workshops. This is how his project “Let me help you…. Body Dismorphia - LGBTTQ+”. ​

 

His desire has always been to be an inspiration to others, to be a powerful voice for those who believe they are alone. His main purpose has been to take his message to the whole world, to connect with all the communities of the world. José López, became the first model and ex-mister, to break stereotypes and launch himself to compete in a contest for the LGBTQIA+  community, Mister Gay Puerto Rico, being elected.

 

López, showed that there are no limits and was a spokesperson for you can fulfill your dreams by being yourself, living without fear. José López represented Puerto Rico in the most important contest of the LGBTQIA + community "Mister Gay World 2022", in South Africa. ​

 

José López, became the first Puerto Rican to win said contest. Now through this platform he wants to impact the entire world. José López has always had a phrase (I was born to help others and that will always be my purpose)

 

1. What would it mean to you to be the first Mr. Gay Word Latin ? Being the first Mr. Gay World Latin  is a great source of pride, but my greatest satisfaction is using the platform to carry a powerful message, not only in my island of charm but worldwide.

 

Educating, giving the tools and helping in the prevention of "Body dysmorphia" is my main objective. The title of Mr. Gay World would allow me to reach places with more needs, not only in our community but in all communities and that would be my focus. ​

 

2. Seeing that your previous Mr. Gay World P.R., were very close to obtaining the title, you felt some pressure?  Definitely knowing that PR in the last 2 editions came close to winning meant a lot of pressure. But the pressure transforms it into energy to demonstrate that there is no limitation or anything that can stop us.

 

3. How do you mentally and physically prepare yourself to fulfill all the tasks that you must complete daily?

I admit that it is not easy, but I have a motto "If there is no time, make time". It's all about being organized and structured. I am a person with strong emotional intelligence and it helps me to face the challenges that may arise.

 

I am currently General Manager of "World Fitness Center", which helps me a lot in physical preparation and most importantly helps me transform lives.

 

4. What does the typical costume represent in the contest? My typical costume was inspired by the coast guard.

 

5. With what thought would you like the jury to always remember you? My message has always been not to limit ourselves. I was obese in my teens and had speech problems. With all and adversity I have fulfilled all my dreams, I achieved what they said was impossible.

 

6. Message to the community? I invite us to never give up and fight for our rights, especially for our happiness. That we love each other just the way we are, do you know why? Because we are perfect and unique. Look in the mirror smile and say it. Love yourself as you are, you discovered a world full of opportunities.
